Robert (Bob) Casey, Jr., is a Senator from Pennsylvania. Born in Scranton, PA, in 1960, he graduated College of the Holy Cross in 1982 and earned his J.D. from the Catholic University of America in 1988. He practiced law in Scranton; was Pennsylvania auditor general from 1997-2005; and was an unsuccessful candidate for governor in 2002. He was also Pennsylvania State treasurer from 2005-2006. He was elected to the United States Senate in 2006. He chaired the Joint Economic Committee (112th Congress); was vice chair, Joint Economic Committee (113th Congress).
