To amend the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965 to require eligible recipients of certain grants to develop a comprehensive economic development strategy that directly or indirectly increases the accessibility of affordable, quality care-based services, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Rep. Nikema Williams — D — GA

Requires applicants for grants administered by the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to include information about the accessibility of affordable, quality childcare, in addition to other considerations, when they submit an economic development strategy. The bill also would require EDA to report to the Congress on the outcomes of economic adjustment assistance administered by the agency that was funded by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (the CARES Act, Public Law 116–136).
