Biography

Joseph P. Kennedy III, (son of Joseph Patrick Kennedy, II, great-nephew of Edward Moore
Kennedy and John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and great-great-grandson of John Francis
Fitzgerald, first cousin once removed of Patrick Joseph Kennedy) is a Representative from Massachusetts.

He was born in Brighton, Massachusetts on October 4, 1980. He received his B.S. from Stanford University in 2003, and his J.D. from Harvard University in 2009.

He served in the United States Peace Corps from 2004-2006, and was the Middlesex, Massachusetts county assistant district attorney from 2011-2012.

He was elected as a Democrat to the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2013-present).
