Jose Luis Correa is a Representative from California. Born in Los Angeles, California in 1958, he earned his B.A. from California State University, Fullerton in 1980, his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1985, and his M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1985. He worked as an investment banker, real estate broker and was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination to the California state assembly in 1996. Additionally, he was a member of the California state assembly from 1998-2004, a member of the Orange County, California board of supervisors from 2005-2006, a member of the California state senate from 2006-2014, an unsuccessful candidate for election to the Orange County, California board of supervisors in 2015, and a member of the California high-speed rail authority from 2015-2016. He was elected as a Democrat to the 115th Congress (January 3, 2017-present).
