Biography

Pramila Jayapal is a Representative from Washington. Born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India in 1965, she earned her A.B. from Georgetown University in 1986 and her M.B.A. from Northwestern University in 1990. She worked as a financial analyst and a member of the Washington state senate from 2015-2016, before being elected as a Democrat to the 115th Congress (January 3, 2017-present).
